Rishabh Pant was at it again regaling his Indian teammates on the field at the Chepauk. On the second day of the ongoing first Test at Chepauk on Friday, Pant was doing his bit on the stump mic to keep his teammates interested.

Ravichandran Ashwin showcased remarkable control and dominated the Bangladesh bowling attack with a brilliant unbeaten 102 from 112 balls.

Ravichandran Ashwin said that he took cue from Rishabh Pant's batting and went hard at Bangladesh bowlers to rescue India with a splendid century on Day 1 of the first Test against Bangladesh.

Ravindra Jadeja came up with the perfect response, when asked about helping R Ashwin during the first innings.

Having worked on improving his range of big shots in the Tamil Nadu Premier League earlier this year, R Ashwin flaunted his aggressive avatar, hitting his fastest Test hundred. Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja rescued India from 144 for 6 with a counter-attacking 195-run stand in Chennai on Thursday,

India are taking on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. The series opener is being played at the Chepauk, aka the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. This is India's last leg of their World Test Championship 2025 cycle and they have 10 more Test matches to play.

Chennai-born Ashwin remained unbeaten on 102 while Chennai Super Kings’ ace all-rounder Jadeja is batting on 86 as the duo put on an unbroken 195-run partnership to lead India out of trouble at 339 for six at close of play,

Starring at a low first-inning total, all-rounders Ashwin and Jadeja got the hosts back on track with counter-attacking cricket. While Jadeja deployed a defensive approach, Ashwin took the attack to the opposition from the word go.
