A single-vehicle accident early Thursday in Morgan County has claimed the life of the driver. The vehicle was traveling along Strawn Crossing Road at Wohlers Road about 2 a.m. Thursday when it went off the road, causing the driver to be ejected, according to authorities.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 183 around 4:20 a.m. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported one person was killed in the crash. The roadway is currently partially closed to traffic.

An early-morning accident on I-40 East in Williamson County led to the death of a 65-year-old man on Friday. The driver, identified as Marvin Howard Kincaid Jr. from Mississippi, was operating a 1997 Freightliner tractor-trailer when the vehicle reportedly veered off the left side of the road near mile marker 183.
