The canteen area and player’s lounge are now of a Premier League standard. Those at the club are no longer nervous about potential new signings seeing the facilities.

Nuno Espirito Santo spoke of his pride at seeing Nottingham Forest register their first win at Anfield since 1969 — and praised his players for following the tactical plan. Forest claimed a memorable 1-0 success over Liverpool thanks to Callum Hudson-Odoi’s 72nd-minute goal.

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo credits former Reds manager Brian Clough for giving the club "the mentality of knowing that anything is possible in football". It has been 20 years since club legend Clough died at the age of 69 in 2004.

Friday marked 20 years since the death of Forest's most successful manager, who led them to a First Division title, back-to-back European Cups and four League Cups in the 1970s and 1980s.
