VIRGINIA, USA — Democrat Eugene S. Vindman is projected to secure a seat in Congress after beating out Republican Derrick Anderson in Virginia’s District 7 race, according to the Associated Press.
Vindman and Anderson earned about 51% and 49% of the vote, respectively. The race had remained too close to call Tuesday after polls closed at 7 p.m. and for a majority of Wednesday.
