Areas in Oregon and Nevada are likely to be affected by wet snow and high winds that could bring down power lines.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. Thursday for the western slopes of the North Cascades and passes. Travel could be difficult with snow at or above elevations greater than 4,000 feet and up to 24 inches of snow accumulating through Thursday, according to the Weather Service.

Winter storm warnings are in effect in New Mexico as places may see as little as 1-3 inches of snow – or as much as 1-3 feet of snow.

A winter storm warning has been issued for metro Denver and the surrounding region. Because of this, Friday and Saturday are both Pinpoint Weather Alert Days.

Winter storms hit across parts of Colorado and New Mexico, bringing several inches to Colorado Springs and southern Colorado. Colorado Gov. Jared Polis declared a disaster emergency on Thursday, November 7.
