One of the most vital pieces of information set to come out of Meta Connect 2024 appears to have already been revealed after an advert for the upcoming Meta Quest 3S appeared online early, revealing the price of Meta's latest mixed-reality headset.

Meta Connect 2024 is approaching – it kicks off on September 25 – and it looks all but certain that it’ll be the launch event for the new Meta Quest 3S. We knew almost everything about the headset already, and now a leaked ad might have confirmed the final detail: how much it’ll cost.

Meta is widely expected to reveal the Quest 3S headset next week during the Meta Connect event. The company aims to introduce a new headset with mixed reality capabilities similar to Quest 3, but at a cheaper price.

We see a controller that looks to be the same Touch Plus controller that is available with the Quest 3. It has been suggested that Meta might not ship the headset with the controllers to get to a lower price at retail, but based on this leak, it may come with the Touch Plus controller.

Based on everything we know, the Quest 3S will boast the Quest 3’s Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset, but a bulkier body and lower-spec displays so it can target a lower price tag – hopefully, somewhere around the Meta Quest 2 ’s $299 / £299 / AU$479.
